Cierra FLY Bobo is a multi-talented Atlanta native and no stranger to the world of entrepreneurship and creativity. Born with the name Cierra Reed, now Cierra Bobo, she was raised in a home that cultivated her musical growth, moving her to create soulful music with a powerful message.
Formerly known as the artist FLY Musiq, Cierra has performed on stages in front of thousands, releasing her debut album in 2012. Her passion to share the message of faith, love, & youth led her to the name ‘FLY’. FLY released her first EP, ‘Epiphany Sky,’ in February 2012. Fused with sultry-soulful jazz inflected lyrics, ‘Epiphany Sky’ received positive feedback from acclaimed figures in the music industry.
FLY’s second EP, ‘Optical Muse’, was released in January 2013 and gained rave reviews among listeners.As a Gospel Choice Award Winner, FLY brought substance and a pristine flavor to the entertainment industry.
In June 2013, FLY published her first book, “Recognize Your Fly,” a book focused on helping individuals identify what they were born to accomplish and who they are destined to reach. In the same year, FLY published “Redefine Beautiful” and by 2015, she released her third book, Residue, a powerful book discussing the negative effects of unhealthy sexual relationships.
Influenced by a childhood insecurity and a longing for identity, FLY developed a passion to see the youth of her community find success through an awakening to their true identity. This passion led her to create FLY Life Inc., an organization for young girls, and has mentored and influenced over 1000 girls in her hometown of College Park,GA.
FLY and her team mentor hundreds of girls and empower them to be next generation leaders. In April 2016, FlyLife hosted their first FLY Life Girls Conference serving over 400 girls.
A highly sought after motivational speaker, social activist and Certified Nonviolence365 trainer with The MLK Center, Fly spends time speaking to youth and adults across the country about non violence, the authenticity of self and what it means to be FLY. She has spoken to over 80,000 youth in the southeastern region, serving as a beacon for change in an array of southern communities.
Fly is entering new territory in developing her fashion line, June Marie, named after her birth month and mother Maria. Styling and creating fashion looks since the age of 8, Cierra’s return to her first love is a chance to celebrate her identity and pay homage to her parents and the journey that has brought her/them this far.
Cierra uses her philosophy “style your identity”; to show others that the story we tell through fashion is simply the story we hide in our hearts. That is what Cierra Fly Bobo and the June Marie Brand are all about; celebrating identity and helping others see themselves through the lens of authenticity.
